Catching Pokémon
Every time a mob is killed there's a chance it will drop some pokeballs (or bones).
You can then use a Pokeball on a Pokémon to catch it (Android, iOS = long-tap and press Tame, Windows 10 = right-click). If you successfully caught it some heart particles will appear. Currently, there are no functions you can use to spawn or despawn your Pokémon.
All of your caught Pokémon will automatically be following you around, and if they get too far away, they will be automatically teleported back to you.
If you don't want them to be following you, then you can use your bone (Android, iOS = long tap and press Sit or Stand) on it to make it stay.
Here is a list of all Pokémon which you can catch (or rather tame) in-game:
- Cow
- Pig
- Chicken
- Rabbit
- Horse
- Donkey
- Mule
- Creeper
- Slime
- Squid
Battles
Your Pokémon will automatically attack whatever you are attacking or attacking you. For example, when you encounter a Zombie or a Skeleton, your Pokemon will quickly come to help you destroy them.
But you can also challenge other Pokémon. To start a battle simply hit the mob which you want it to attack. Either yours will win or be defeated.

Pixelmon PE Mod – Pokemon mod for Minecraft PE
Pixelmon PE is an advanced Pokémon mod for Minecraft Pocket Edition. Although it is currently in beta only, there are already countless features, and many of them work quite well.
You can catch Pokemon, duel with others, and use items like Pokedex to see information about your Pokemon.
Creators:Wartave, XScripter0
Getting Started
Before spawning in a world, you have to select any Pokémon you want to start. Here I chose Charmander.
Spawning a Pokémon
To spawn a Pokémon, press the P button in the bottom right corner of the screen. A list of Poke Balls will appear on the right side of the screen—long-press on either of the 2 Poke Balls to spawn the Pokémon.
Catching Pokémon
To catch Pokémon you will need some Poké Balls. There are three different types of Poké Balls and each of them has different chances (%) of catching Pokémon.
In this case, I got an Ultra Ball. Throw it (long-tap) at a Pokémon (like a snowball) to catch it.
If you are successful, it will appear on the right side of the screen among your other Poké Balls. You might need to pressP in the bottom right corner in order to see the balls.
Hold down your finger on the Poké Ball to spawn the newly caught Pokémon.
- Poké Ball (2008) – 1 Poké Ball Up + 1 redstone + 1 Poké Ball Down
- Poké Ball Up (504) – 3 Red Apricorns
- Poké Ball Down (507) – 4 iron ingots
- Ultra Ball (2009) – 1 Ultra Ball Up + 1 redstone + 1 Poké Ball Down
- Ultra Ball Up (505) – 2 Black Apricorns + 1 Yellow Apricorn
- Great Ball (2010) – work in progress
- Master Ball (2009) – 1 Master Ball Up + 1 Poké Ball + 1 Poké Ball Down
- Master Ball Up (506) – 2 Pink Apricorns + 3 Purple Apricorns + 1 iron ingot
- (to find a list of all other items, e.g. Apricorns, scroll down to the bottom)
Apricorn Trees
Some Poké Balls require some type of apricorn to be crafted. Apricorns can be harvested by breaking the tree which looks as seen in the image below.
There are four types of apricorn trees:
- Red (common)
- Yellow (rare)
- Blue (super rare)
- Black (ultra rare).
They spawn randomly in the world. After you've collected at least one it can be planted on the ground to grow more and they don't require any water to grow.
Leveling Up
Some of the items can be used for feeding your Pokémon and helping it to level up. At the time we reviewed this it didn't work but as soon the bug is fixed we'll make sure to update this part.
Neither of the items can be crafted at this point. (This might be bugged at the moment!)
- Rare Candy (3001)
- Thunderstone (3002)
- Waterstone (3003)
- Moonstone (3004)
- Leafstone (3005)
- Firestone (3006)
- Duskstone (3007)
- Dawnstone (3008)

PokeCraft Mod
PokeCraft is an interesting Pokémon mod created specifically for Minecraft Bedrock Edition. This beta includes features such as 20 + Pokémon added, catch and release system and randomly generated structures. You need to try this if you want to turn your Minecraft world into a Pokemon universe.
Creator:RedStudios
Getting Started
Before getting started we highly recommend downloading and use one of the Pokémon player skins to really make it look as if you were playing a Pokémon game.
There are currently more than 20 different Pokémon and they spawn naturally in different biomes throughout the world.
With the current beta version, you can only catch and spawn Pokémon.
To catch a Pokémon, you have to get a Pokéball from creative inventory. Then find a Pokemon you want to catch and then long-press on the screen to through the Pokéball and attempt the catch.
Catch rates are random, and sometimes you're unlucky and have to do it again. In this case, I succeeded in catching my Pokemon, which was an Ivysaur. Do not forget to pick up Pokeball.
You can catch up to 6 different Pokémon. The mod is using a slot system that can be accessed by the text chat.
Type any of the following commands in the text chat to manage your Pokémons:
- r = Release / Return Pokémon
- s0-5 (e.g. s1) = Select active slot
- d0-5 (e.g. d3) = Deletes the Pokémon in that slot
- In the future, you can expect a more slick user interface for this.
Anyways, to summon a caught Pokémon type r in the chat.
Pokedex and Pokeshops are structures that generate at random in your worlds. Currently, there is no use for them but that is likely to change soon.
That's all of the features for now. Remember, this is the first beta. Some of the upcoming features are the following:
- Battle system
- Poke Centers
- And more!
Discuss ideas in the comments and help shape the future of this mod!
